The hunting blocks consist out of 2 WMA’s (Wildlife Management Areas) : Nalika and Mbaragandu in the Ruvuma district of Tanzania.
The hunting blocks is approx. 1.2 miljon acres and forms part of the Niassa/Selous Wildlife Corridor, in Southern Tanzania, bordering the world famous Selous Game Reserve on the South.
The Selous, the largest protected area in the world, 33,000 sq. miles of Africa’s most unspoilt wilderness, the reserve is renowned for its rugged beauty, abundant wildlife and excellent trophy hunting, the area is predominantly miombo woodland with rolling hills. This is Old Africa hunting at its best, this vast wilderness is famous for its huge migratory Buffalo and Elephant herds, with healthy populations of Lion and Leopard.
Ultimate Tanzania Safaris entered into a strategic management agreement with a Tanzanian company to have full management and hunting rights to Nalika and Mbaragandu WMA’s. The blocks is a community driven incentive, and our involvement in this community will be vital to the sustainability of the hunting area.
Take note that there are no cattle or people in the hunting blocks.
